Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee OC-45 is a creamy white that's the perfect compliment for oak, maple or pine - either in flooring, furniture or cabinets. It's a favorite among desigers like Studio McGee but is it right for your space? Keep reading to find out.
Why do I love this shade? If you're looking for that modern farmhouse/cottage aesthetic, Swiss Coffee may be the shade for you. It's creamy without feeling to yellow thanks to a hint of gray. In certain spaces, this soft off-white can also flash a little green which makes it the perfect pairing with light woods like oak, maple or pine.
Very versatile, Swiss Coffee will work with practically any other warm shade, especially shades of terra cotta, soft greens like olive, or warm charcoals. It's beautiful with oak flooring/cabinets, terra cotta floors and brass hardware.
For trim, woodwork or doors, pair Swiss Coffee with other creamy warm whites like Benjamin Moore Steam (another one of my favorites) for a low contrast or Chantilly Lace for more contrast. TIP: You can also use Swiss Coffee on both walls AND trim. Vary the sheen for visual interest - for example flat walls and satin woodwork or cabinets.
With an LRV (Light Reflective Value) just shy of 82, Swiss Coffee is light enough for spaces that don't have a lot of natural light. In well lit spaces, it will look white with a soft sunny glow - cheerful but not overpowering.
